[SOLVED] RTX 2080 too hot (85°C)

Hello

My GPU is running too hot (85°C at 100% usage) in most games. Only The Witcher 3 crashed after hitting that temperatures.

My system:

GPU: MSI RTX 2080 GAMING X TRIO
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K
Case: Sharkoon TG5 RGB
CPU-Cooler: Be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 (3 fans in front, 1 back).

At the beginning, the temperatures were at 70°C at 100% usage.
My GPU is not overclocked.
I am afraid that something could go wrong at repasting the termal paste of the GPU.

I hope somebody can help me.

That is a normal temp on full load of GPU. If you want a couple degrees less then set a more aggressive fan curve with AB and what not.

That seems high. My 2080S sits at about 70c under full load. What’s you case airflow like?

I don't know, it should be normal. 3 fans in front, 1 at the back.

My GPU is already very loud, if I would set higher fan speed, it would be really loud.

I found a fan on the bottom of the case sucking air in at the front of the gpu dropped my temps a few degrees with no extra noise.

You need to exhaust the hot air. Add another exhaust fan.
