RTX 2080Ti and MSI Z270-A PRO compatibility?

with the RTX 2080Ti almost out I'm looking to see if my current hardware will support it.
I have a MSI Z270-A PRO motherboard and these are my remaining specs.

Intel i7-7700K 4.2GHz,
NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti ,
32GB RAM,
3TB HDD,
240GB SSD,
WiFi,
Liquid Cool,
Win10

The key is your psu.
Your current GTX1080ti normally needs a 6 and a 8 pin pcie power connector.
The RTX2080ti cards I have seen need two 8 pin connectors or 75w more power.
If you have a quality psu in the 650-750w range, you should be ok.

I believe i have 800W power supply. does the motherboard come with TWO 8 pin pcie connectors considering it does have one 6 pin and one 8 pin? this is probably the only information left to decide..

Your PSU should have come with 2-4 8 pin connectora for PCIE

The aux pcie connectors are on the graphics card, not the motherboard.
A 800w psu will normally have 4 or more 8 pin or 6+2 connectors for graphics cards.

The RTX2080ti will fit into a pcie x16 slot on the motherboard where it will receive up to 75w of power.
Since the card needs more than 75w, added power will come from the two 8 pin pcie cables from the psu.

Im using a Z270 A Pro and have just bought an Asus dual 2080 and am having problems getting the board to detect itz I'm using a Corsair vs650 could power be an issue?
