Discussion Rtx 3000?

I currently have a gtx 1070 and I am looking to upgrade in the next year or two. Should I wait for Rtx 3000 or just go with what we have today?

Rumor mill is saying RTX 3000 will probably be September-ish. Historically the top tier ones launch first, then a step down released each month after that. Can you wait till Black Friday, or no? By that time, AMD's Navi2 GPUs will be in the market causing competition for Nvidia at the top end.

I can definitely wait, the question is whether or not it will be worth it.

With the performance uplift they are "leaking" it will be worth it... but don't pre-order. Wait for reviews. Let's just say I wouldn't buy anything current generation unless I absolutely needed it.

Honestly, this time next year will be a great time to be a gamer. Navi 2, Ampere, Ryzen 4000, whatever cores Intel tapes to their current design to make it faster to compete... it will be a good time to be a gamer... assuming we all don't die from a massive viral outbreak.
