Hi all,

I have an RTX 3050 in my PC, however, the game I'm playing says that to run on full graphics, you need at least an RTX 3070. However, I've been running on full graphics on my RTX 3050 with very little lag. Would running my graphics at full with an RTX 3050 damage the PC?

Thanks,

Josef

It would not damage the PC, except in the case the power supply was unable to deliver enough power. But that would have to be a very bad PSU to actually cause damage. More likely you'd see artifacts or odd crashes.

The other thing that may happen is the GPU or CPU gets very hot when playing, but they are designed to avoid overheating. So as a result you may get very bad lag once the GPU or CPU is throttled in order to stop overheating. But it will not fry. The PC would shut down before that happened.

If the lag is not too bad, enjoy the game. If the lag is bad, lower the graphics settings to get a better frame rate.
