RTX 3060 is using low voltage for some reason.

RTX 3060 laptop gpu
i7-11800H
16GB RAM

Hello, I'm not very well informed in this field but lately I've been getting an issue with my gpu. For context, I've been playing war thunder at around 130 fps very stable but suddenly, without warning my fps tanked to below 20. This effects other games too like sekiro, which before this always ran at 60 fps now couldnt even break 10. I've no idea what to do and I've done everything I can using the nvidia control panel/power plan.

For reference, here's a picture of the nvidia performance monitoring inside the war thunder lobby, getting 20 fps on average. I've heard 0.6 volts is considered very low. Any fixes/thoughts?

should be a known issue,
set the power limit back to 100% (while updating drivers and still running afterburner, precision, geforce exprience,.... the power limit seems to be set to only 25%

or uninstall any 3rd party software and clean install the latest laptop drivers from the manufacturer of the laptop, and not from nvidia.com

another solution could be resetting the cmos

I've followed the steps outlined by him, and it seems to solve my issue. Had to do a battery reset and now my gpu is running normally as it should. A bit weird but it works!

Hi if you don't mind to be asked, how do you reset your battery because my rtx3060 happened also to only got 0.6 v

Well, specifically for acer nitro 5 models, you first need to have your laptop turned on and on battery power (not charging). Then, hold down the power button for 15-20 seconds, the laptop should shutdown while you're holding it down. After that, power your laptop back up again and it should reset your GPU.
