Hi

The rtx 3060 costs 645$ and the rtx 3060ti costs 752$ in my region. Would it be worth it to spend the extra money on the ti version? I'm mainly looking at playing modded Skyrim with high resolution textures, mods etc and the 8GBs of vram is a concern. I mainly game at 1080p

My specs are as follows:
Ryzen 5 2600
16GBs ram
550W superflower platinum leadex fully modular power supply.

Thanks

Tbh, still nothing is a really good deal atm. If u want, wait a bit more, prices might go better. I see some mild improvement there. Anyway, in general, a 3060 Ti is ~25% faster than a 3060 and we can see you can get the higher GPU speed with 16,6% more cash spent.
Idk about the VRAM usages, but it is much better to play 1080-1440p at 75-100 FPS than 4K at 50-55 FPS, I guess. I am not quite sure about this particular game and system's synergy with the 3000 Gen.
I chose 3060 over the Ti just for my occasion, in which a Ti 'd cost ~45% more, while my system 'd bottleneck both GPUs and money extra spent not worth, but that was just my case.
It should be mostly whatever you choose, but the Ti is in most cases a better FPS per dollar, like how it is for u atm.

I see I also have the rx 6600 non Xt for 532 dollars. I don't mind saving up more for the ti but if the vram limit gets exceeded than won't performance tank? I used I have a gtx 1660 super so I'm looking to get something that's abit better with more horsepower and vram.

3060ti will be best idea because its more powerful yes it cost abit more but sometimes you got to treat yourself. You could buy 3060ti and sell of your old GPU. Here is the VS benchmarks below yes there not much difference but sometimes extra performance can be useful while gaming!

3060ti

Ok great so the better long term choice is the 3060ti?

If your on budget then 3060 will do games good but if you like to spend extra for abit more extra performance then 3060ti will do for you. Because you could get 3060 and then think to yourself why did not buy 3060ti its only so many dollars more!. But choice is yours depends what games you wanna play and so on because 3060ti on 4k might not be the best but casn do 1080 to 2k good on games with FPS

even 3060ti is 25% faster than 3060, its still a 1080p gpu right?
if 3060 gives 90fps and 3060ti shall give 112fps, but at this range the gap would be hard to tell?
how well can it last for 3-5 years?

So what if I get the 3060 and apply an overclock that boosts performance by around 10%? Is this an option to shorten the gap between the two GPUs or no?
And 3060ti can boost 10% too
And infact i think its just closer 5%

And i am also looking to get a 3060 ti ehen price is reasonable, usually means rtx4000 is out

Am I correct in saying that I should rather keep saving and wait a few months for prices to drop further? In my region they have dropped abit but I could wait a little longer if it means getter value for money.

With the conflicts happening in the world the prices for electronics are only going UP. Don’t expect deals anytime soon especially for graphics cards

Man i know GPU prices have gone down a bit, but $700+ for a $350 (retail) GPU is truly a hard pill to swallow. I got super lucky when i got my PC right before 2020 from a PC builder website lol.

I would just do the 3060Ti. For $100 more you have a GPU capable of reasonable 4k @ 50-60fps. For some examples, it can manage 4k high/ultra at constant 60fps on God of War. Marvels Guardians of the galaxy you can do 4k ultra ray tracing on high with DLSS on balanced at a near solid 60fps. It has the best performance per dollar atm. It's only real downside is the 8gb of vram when doing 4k. At 2k and lower this is an amazing card with which you will max out most games graphic settings and still get pretty high framerates.

The Ti variant in short is your best bet for the next 2-3 years with 1080p and 1440p gaming. By that time GPU prices should stabilize and you'll be able to get a far better GPU

I'm used to always having GPUs being at least 100 to 150 dollars over mrsp due to my countries currency of whatever other factors. These days the prices are insane. Ok great looks like the 3060tis performance is worth the extra cost.
