Yes i know a lot of people posted about this but i want to know more people opinions about this topic, Next week im getting a rtx 3070 Asus tuf gaming, my PSU is a nzxt hale 700w paired with an i7 8700k, some people reported problems with this psu but for me It was great It never gave me a single issue, The problem is that last year i moved out and i Lost The extra PCI 8 pins cable and all i have is The Daisy chain cable with 2x 6+2 connectors, now im going to try and find The extra cable so i dont have to use The Daisy chain one, but if i fail at finding The cable when my GPU arrives, i Will be okay if i use The single cable connectors?

Solution
Yes you are right, but i dont have The money yet to upgrade The PSU, would be my priority in The Next months, do you think that undervolting The gpu may help The PSU and minimize The Risk?
You need to read the PSU manual.

The PCI-E cables are rated for a max TDP per cable on my Seasonic they say 225 watts per cable so anything over that I would need to use 2 cables instead of a single 2X 6+2 cable.

They got 275 watts peak gaming here.

Is it this one?

IF it is - plus, combined with how old it is, it might be a problem with RTX 30 gpus because they are notorious for having high transient power spikes.

Psu quality aside, I wouldn't daisy chain for gpus anymore; one cable per port.

Yep is that one, i have a friend that also has that PSU with a 3070 and also Daisy chained, and so far so good, still im going to try and buy a new PSU ASAP, but for now im going to try and survive with this one, pretty Happy with It, never gave me an issue, im more worried about The Daisy chain than The PSU itself, but i just cant find that damn extra cable, thanks for The reply

Single cable is fine. Personally I wouldn’t risk a 3070 on that psu. Saying the psu has never given an issue doesn’t mean anything apart from its used and psu components deteriorate with age and usage. If mine Id want a high quality psu that has a warranty covering the system should the worst happen.
