I upgraded to an RTX 3070 ti - purchased new about a month ago and an issue(?) has surfaced. I believe the fans are making a fast repetitive clicking noise above a certain speed - it gets louder as the speed increases.

Is this something to worry about? Is it a sign of damage? Should I install new fans? Or can I safely game ignoring the noise? I am unsure as to what is causing this.

Specs:

AMD Ryzen 7 3800X

EVGA RTX 3070 ti

g.skill DDR4 32gb (16gb x 2)

Corsair RM850x

Corsair H115i elite

Corsair 4000D

Samsung 970 evo 1tb

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Have you checked to see if the fans are making contact with a stray wire/cable? You might want to include an audio/video clip of the issue you mention above.

If the card is brand new, you shouldn't tamper with the card(internally or externally), instead RMA the card. Please be sure to explain to (email)your seller and EVGA of the issue you've mentioned, with (asked)audio clip as a point of reference to get the ball rolling.
