Hi,

I want to replace my 2070 Super with a 3070.
Currently i'm using a RM650x (2018).

Will this PSU be enough for any version? Do 3070s have similar power spikes as the 3080s and 3090s ?

Rest of the system has a power draw of 150-200 watts depending on the load.
No problems with the 2070 Super, but it has a very annoying coil whine, which i don't know if it's PSU related.
Performance was always as expected.(2 years of usage)

Nividia recommends a PSU with atleast 650 Watts so it would probably work even though i would not recommend it.
You could use a site like https://www.bequiet.com/en/psucalculator to check what wattage your psu should aproximately provide

The TBP of the 3070 is 220W, so it's fine, even with transient spikes.

Please note that PSU calculators and requirements tend to overestimate by a comfortable margin.

RTX 3070 will run comfortably even on a 550w PSU of good quality with even a 5800x CPU, 450W is cutting it close but is doable too.
Recommendations from companies are countering for those with low end power supplies that may go up in smoke .
