Hi,

I am almost sure that my current Rig should be good enough for a RTX 3080 without the need for any hardware upgrades. I will post all my current Rig details below and hopefully the experts here will confirm that.

CPU: i7-9700K
Mobo: Asus Z390-H
RAM: 32GB
PSU: 1200W (I know it is more that what I need but I was planning for SLI)
GPU: RTX 2070S

I mostly play FPS (Valorant, CSGO, Overwatch & COD) on 240hz monitor@1080p. I know that my current Rig is more than enough to handle those games but I'm planning to go for a 360hz monitor and I want a +360fps constantly.

Is there a possibility of bottlenecking with i7-9700k?

Solution
Your CPU is fine for pretty much any major game and not hitting 360 FPS will be more of a limitation of the game itself then the hardware.

I would strongly suggest not bothering with SLI, it in almost all gaming circumstances will net you little to no perofmrance increase and in more then a few games actually give you worse performance. SLI/Crossfire is dead for gaming, Nvidia just wont come out and say it since although few people still bother with it its still a gimmicky way Nvidia can sell cards.
Reviews out there are saying that even the most powerful processors will not be able to get the best out of the RTX3080, so for once the GPU is ahead of the CPU. I'd say if you're fine as is, don't invest on the RTX 3000 series. Wait it out and see others use it to then decide if you want it as well.

Marketing is one thing, spending your hard earned money is another.

I understand your point of view. The thing is, I will be able to get it for its real price and I will be able to resell it for profit so it's a win-win situation.

Glad to hear that.

SLI was just an idea/future option when I picked my PSU. I have never took seriously. Thank you for replying thu:).
