Make your startup group skinny.

Having unneeded stuff running when your trying to game might present a problem.

Having unneeded stuff running when your trying to game might present a problem.
Here is the outcome with no big difference after ending all tasks for all background apps:

UserBenchmarks: Game 213%, Desk 108%, Work 216%

That's a lot of stuff.

Find out what that stuff is and make sure it's all needed.

I'm not sure why my computer uses more than 5GB of RAM at startup, but according to Task Manager, 200MB+ is devoted to the "Antimalware Service Executable" alone.
