Question RTX 3080 crashing in game - 750watt PSU issue?

So I've been having issues recently with my RTX 3080 where if I play games, the gpu would randomly crash and id get errors like "Your graphics card has been disconnected" or "Fatal error - UE4 driver crashed (unreal engine 4). It wasnt apparent in the first 6 months of owning the gpu, but started happening recently with some newer games, i tried to see what had changed and it seems like the new games are utilizing 100% gpu usage as they are more demanding, where as prior, the games i played would utilise 85-95% max. This led me to believe it was a PSU Issue. I have 2 seperate cables plugged into seperate PCIE ports on the psu. Also removed all overclocks, re-installed the drivers, reinstalled windows 10 (was originally on windows 11), did every other form of troubleshooting before buying a PSU

Specs:
CPU: i9-10900k @ 5.2Ghz 1.38v (1.34 on load)
Memory: 32gb 3600mhz Ram
GPU: MSI RTX 3080
Cooler: EK custom loop D5 pump with gpu + Cpu block
PSU: 750 watt Corsair rm750 Gold
Mobo: Asus ROG strix z490

Temps:
GPU: 52 degrees max - 50 average
CPU: 85 degrees max - 68 average

My question is, i have purchased a new PSU (1300watt seasonic) and awaiting its delivery, im just wondering if i jumped the gun to early here and if its possible there's another issue? Suffering from buyers remorse as I'd be a bit annoyed if it didnt solve anything and wasted my money.

CPU seems hot. I would have tried removing the OC before buying parts.

Yep already reverted OC, still had the same issue

Were the temps still high?

CPU was topped out at 70 with OC reverted while gaming. It usually tops out high 70s with OC, i had the heater running when I got that 86 figure. Averages 60-70 most of the time. I also ran cinebench when it was hot to rule out CPU being an issue
