Hello all,
Have a problem that I thought was caused by my display, but I've ruled that out as a possibility. Hoping someone here can help:
Specs:
RTX 3080
i9-10900k
32 GB RAM
NZXT 1000W PSU
The PC is new. It's been working brilliantly for the past few weeks without a problem. Recently (within the last week, though the exact day this started I'm not sure), there's been a problem with my monitor losing signal from my PC. I will get a black screen for a few seconds, during which time my audio will continue without a hitch. After a few seconds, my monitor detects signal again, and when my display reappears the audio will stutter for a moment (assuming a timing issue? Syncing display with audio? Haven't thought much of it).
I've tested this in a dual-monitor setup with a second monitor that I'm positive is perfectly functioning, and when it happens, it happens to both monitors. So it isn't a monitor issue. All temps are low. It happens once every 2-4 hours give or take a bit. I've also been running stress tests on cpu, gpu and power for the past day without a single hitch or error. I'm thinking it may be a driver issue, but I've done a clean install of the latest graphics driver and it's still happening. I've also made sure all connections within the PC are secure and rebooted CMOS just to be sure. Running out of troubleshooting ideas.
Is this a known issue with the 30 series? Anyone else get something similar? Do you suspect this is a driver (or software) issue, or could it be a hardware one? I should note that when it happens, none of my case fans or RGB lighting misses a beat. Continues running as though everything is normal. Any insight would really set my mind at ease. Please!
Thanks in advance!
