I managed to snag a Gigabyte GeForce RTX™ 3080 GAMING OC 10G. When I boot computer it beeps and hangs with no signal detected by monitor. If I hit reset button then computer beeps again but then boots normally and GPU behaves normally. Not sure what the issue is. Anyone have any ideas?

Assuming the failed vs successful "beeps" are different?

They're usually described as X short or Y long. Can you describe them?
Example: 2 Short + 1 long beep = Fail, 1 short beep = success.

Which motherboard, specifically?

Please post your full system specs.

Same issue except mine doesnt boot up at all!
x570 gigabyte xtreme.
1000watt corsair modulair psu
32gb 3600mhz bios oc (3200 original)
3900xt cpu.
I got the EXACT same card 3080 gigabyte oc gaming and same issue, no output.
Fans start spinning, rbg lighting goes on.
I used 2x 6+2 pin cables to power them.
Clueless aswell!

I have a MSI x570 Mag Tomahawk MB. 850gb power supply, Gigabyte 3080 gaming Graphics, Ryzen7 2700x CPU. Using two 8 pin power cables from different rails on PS. I get a beep and no signal detected per monitor on first boot attempt. If I reset it boots just fine and I have no issues with any games etc. I upgraded from a 1080ti graphics. Drivers are all up to date etc.

Exactly the same issue here except sometimes it takes 2-3 attempts to reset to boot the system. Once booted everything works great - no stability issues.
System spec:
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce RTX™ 3080 GAMING OC 10G
CPU: i9 10900K
MB: MSI MPG Z490 GAMING PLUS
PSU: Corsair RM1000i (8 pin power cables from different rails)

I also tried another PSU (be quiet pure power 11 700w) with the same results.
My system is not over clocked and boots without any issues with other GPUs (GTX 1070 or GT 1030), so I'm pretty confident the problem lays in the RTX 3080.

ok i resolved MY issue, i was using a pci riser extension cable. they DO NOT support pci 4.0 and only 3.0.
you can change ur MOBO to pci 3.0 in bios OR remove the cable. i removed the extension cable and plugged straight to motherboard to solve this.

I've also solved my issue by enabling the graphical MB's logo during the boot. I usually disable this feature on all my PCs and so far I didn't have any problems. The RTX 3080 somehow doesn't like to go to the text mode during boot and it seemed to cause the issue. I still believe it's a quirk in the graphic card but I'm happy that this simple trick fixed my problem.
Happy New Year!
