Hi guys. I recently built a new system. Ryzen 7 6900X 32gb Ram nice case etc but dit not get a gpu cause of the prices. So im rocking my old trusty gtx 1080. Now the prices dropped a lot so it time to move on with the gpu. My monitor is an Asus IPS 27" 1440p 144hz. Is those 300 extra euros for the 3090 worth it? Will rtx 3080 hold some fps on this monitor for the years to come? I dont need 144 im really happy with 90-100 fps. My problem is that i can only find thee 3080 12gb version and not the 10. Are yhere any glitches on those cards? Or just marketing ?

At the moment 3080ti has the same price with 3090. Thats why i didnt consider 3080ti. Well who knows what will happen next. Maybe miners will crash the market again...

3090 would satisfy your needs, as per your op. Prices will continue to fall as Nvidia try to clear old stock. How low will it get is anyone's guess, but think about those who bought overpriced gpus, you're in a good spot right now. 4 series, or rumoured only 4090 to land this year, sometime end of October early Nov maybe. Though power requirements are kinda scary atm but that might change. Ray tracing gone mad i think, driving up power requirements. Id rather play without it tbh and dlss is bs. No antialiasing at all for me, on a decent resolution monitor is best.
