Hi, this question is important to me because I am in a period where I can afford to spend and buy something more.

My reasoning:
I want a pc that lasts a while. I prefer more fps than resolution.
I have a rtx 3070 but I would like to change to a rtx3080ti which would be in the duration of the time perhaps the best thing for what I am looking for.
I prefer fps, in the future maybe the games will be more complex and the rtx3080ti would still perform well at high / ultra in full hd.

But before doing an upgrade I realized THAT I DON'T KNOW how many other things I should change and if you think it's worth it:

cpu: i7 9700K

Power supply: FSP (FORTRON) HYDRO PRO 600W 80+BRONZO *HP2-600 * 1652

MOTHEBOARD: MSI Z390 GAMING PLUS

RAM: Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G32C16U4B 3200 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, 16GB

SSD: Pioneer 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 Gen 3x

HD: 3TB TOSHIBA

FAN FOR CPU: Enermax ETS-T50A-FSS T50 AXE Silent Edition-

It seems obvious to me that I should change the power supply first of all.
But what catches the eye:
the motherboard: i can't afford a new processor because i9 11 are not compatible
the rtx 3080 you with the i7 9700k there is good?
or in the next few years should I still change the motherboard and then I have to change things?

I would like to ask you: apart from the changes to the power supply, I can stay like this for the next 3-4 years by putting in an rtx 3080 ti
or if I have to change something, do I do it now?
I have no urgency, I could do it, but I would prefer not to dismantle everything and rebuild.

Solution
I thought about this thing:
since 1080p for rtx3070 is just fine
I thought:
i expect the new 12 gen processor as recommended, i will change the motherboard so too and get a 3080 ti. How does it look to you?
Does the 1080p monitor stay at 144 hz or do I buy a 240?

144Hz vs 240Hz is a personal choice and depends on the types of games you play. If the games you play are not achieving close to 240 FPS any benefit will be significantly reduced. Even the best CPU’s are not going to allow a 3080Ti to be fully utilised at 1080p in most games. What types of games are you playing? What are you aiming for, highest settings, highest FPS?

The other thing to consider is gpu prices are still insane. For example, 3080’s are still selling for...
What resolution and Hz is your monitor? If I assume 1080p then an upgrade to a 3080Ti will be wasted. It likely won’t give any meaningful boost in FPS and will just not be utilised. At a certain point the cpu becomes the limiting factor for FPS and with an already very strong gpu for 1080p you have probably hit that limit already.

Yes, i understand but for future so it can be more easy for 3080ti work in 1080p.

By the time you need a 3080Ti for 1080p it is likely the 3080Ti will be a few years old and not supporting the latest features. Just upgrade the 3070 when it no longer meets your requirements.

I really cannot see a point in overpaying now to have a gpu that lasts longer when you can upgrade in a couple of years time for most likely a lower cost and get newer features and possibly better performance.

Nothing wrong with sticking with 1080p and upgrading to 240hz.

If you want to game at 1080p / medium settings, you can stick with a 3070 and buy a top of the line CPU and it will last a long long time.

As noted, do not buy a 3080ti, as you will see no gains in your current scenario.
