News RTX 5070 dips below MSRP at UK retailer — £518.99 marks a rare low in this unpredictable market

Just goes to show how poorly it performs that it is one of the only video cards that remains in stock and has to be discounted even to sell in a market where every single other GPU cannot remain in stock even at 50% to 200% over MSRP.

Since the 9070 beats the 5070 overall in rasterization, ray tracing, and power consumption, it doesn't seem too surprising that the 5070's prices are coming back down to earth.

Kind of has me curious, though, what's keeping the 9070 prices elevated? Lack of supply? Scalpers still seeing it as more desirable vs the 5070? Something else?

You can only charge so much for a 4070 Super sidegrade. It feels and runs like Intel's Raptor Lake. Kinda pathetic getting this after 2.5 years from a $3 trillion company.

Prices will only fall if holy AMD decides to compete, and given their recent history that doesn't seem likely.
