Question Strange core clock behaviour ?

I recently got a new ASUS TUF Geforce RTX 5080 OC.

Initially when running under load it would boost up to 1725-1825mhz. I recently installed GPU Tweak 3 and since then it will only boost to 1670-1700mhz. Even after intalling the software and updating my drivers it still will not boost as high. The official boost clock is 1700 for this card but I can’t figure out why it was going higher at first and has then dropped down?

Hey there,

That's very odd.

What are you using to load the GPU with? It should really be running above 2700mhz which is that cards boost. It seems you're card is not boosting at all. I suspect GPU usage is very low? The clocks you highlighted seem to be the base clockspeed.

My card for example (4070 S) has a base clock of 1980mhz, boost of 2545mhz, but actually ticks along at between 2790-2805mhz, and that whilst playing a demanding game. Your card should boost similarly, as it's essentially the same tech.
