rtx vs gtx for vfx animation cg modelling rendering concept art etc.

i want to know whether RTX gpu series is more suitable for vfx, animation, cg modelling & rendering, concept art etc. compared to GTX.
softwares to be used (most of these)-
blender
after effects
photoshop
premiere pro
nuke
maya
zbrush

Rtx series are just more powerful versions of Gtx ones. Depending on how much you are willing to spend it is more suitable or not.
In my personal experience a single GTX 1080 will be more than just enough to fullfil all your Needs for the Listed above programs.
And you are spending like... Half the price of a 2080?
So... I wouldnt actually recommend 2080 for anything else than just gaming.
