Hey Guys I was building my new Pc and everything was fine as usual, untill i started the thing and the gpu didn't get detected. I can use it as a display adapter but it doesn't get recognised as Rtx2060 in the system info it just gets shown as standart display adapter.
Also installing the newest nvidia drivers didn't work and nvidia experience displays an error. In Gpu Z & device manager it doesn't show up either. The only place i saw it listed was in cpu z.

Things i tried:
-Flashing Bios.
-Using every pcie x16 slot on mobo.
-Installing latest mobo&nvidia drivers.
-I put in my old gpu and it showed up fine.
-Disabling display device in device manager.

So none of these worked. Any Ideas appreciated.

PC Specs:

Mobo: asus z170 pro gaming
Ram : 16Gb DDR4 HyperX
Cpu: i7 6700k
PSU: corsair vs650
ssd: Samsung 970 evo plus

Solution
the psu is a corsair vs650.

thats not a good powersupply (if its the orange label). im pretty sure that its the reason why your card doesnt work.
it could also be a faulty GPU but still your psu isnt great and is not ideal to be paired with a RTX 2060.
