[Ru/Sa] Should I Be Hopelessly, Hopelessly Lost Here?

I could swear that I've been all over Victory Road in Pokemon Sapphire,
but I can't find the exit. I suppose I could just search the cavern
some more, except for all the monsters that keep popping up. The
furthest I've gotten is up a waterfall, but that path just leads me down
another waterfall that ultimately leads back to where I started. This
begs the following questions:

1) How the Hell do I get out of here?
2) Will there be a Pokemon Center?
and
3) What levels are the Elite Four's Pokemon at? I think mine will have
to be at least that level to make it through without being worn down so
quickly.

For the appropriate excerpt from Matt Johnson's excellent walkthrough on
GameFAQs, look below the spoiler warning. :) [I'm way too lazy to bother
trying to rephrase it]

Yep. And a store.

Upper 40's. As long as your guys are 45 or so, they shouldn't have much
trouble...

Upon entering the cave, go up, left, circle down and right, and fight.
From there, go up, left a little, up the stairs, and down to find a Max
Elixir. Then jump the ledge, go left and jump another ledge, go up, up the
stairs, across the bridge, up, fight, and down the ladder.

Use Flash to light your way, and go down. Head left and push the boulder
left, then circle down and push the other boulder right. Go north, smash the
rocks, and move the boulders. Go south and fight. Follow the path, and go up
the ladder. Pick up the PP Up, and then backtrack to just before the two
rocks and two boulders.

Smash the rock and go up the stairs. Cross the bridge, fight and go up. Push
the boulders out of the way and grab the Full Restore. Then head down, left,
and down the ladder.

Fight, go up, and Surf up. Go up the stairs, go up and right a little, then
go up the ladder. Pick up TM29, Psychic, and then go back down the ladder.
Go south, and fight. Go back down the stairs, and Surf left.

Ascend the waterfall. Position yourself on the bottom square on the right
side just as soon as you get to the top. Face north and press A to find an
Elixir. Go left and fight if you want, all he's blocking is a Full Heal.
Surf west, and get on dry land. Go down and fight the Trainer if you want.
Either way, get to this spot, go down the waterfall, Surf east, and up the
ladder.

If you want to fight another trainer, jump the ledge to the left and go
south. Then go down the ladder, jump the ledge, go north, Surf, and go up
the ladder.

Head down and right. Smash the rock, move the boulder down, smash the other
rock, go around the boulder, and up the ladder.

Continue to follow the path, but after you beat Cooltrainer Edgar, heal the
best you can and save. You're about to see someone familiar...

Ask somebody directionally challenged and go in the opposite direction?

After the end of it and of course the almost obligatory battle with Wally
at the most inopportune moment (read: end of the cave)

Well their pokemon range from Lv. 46 (Cacturne and Mightyena) to a
near-insane Lv 58 (Metagross)

Pack things in the high-40's to low 50's and you should be fine ... as long
as you can fire off Ice Beams. Can't forget the obligitory Dragon Master

Others have answered your questions very well, so I won't. I just wanted
you to know, I only go into the cave from the finish once I have gotten
there. I think it is more twisty and confusing than any of the other caves
in the entire Pokemon series (I don't have Colliseum).

Cool, thanks.

Actually, I have this site bookmarked already. I guess I forgot to
check to see if they had Victory Road maps.

The dungeons in Colosseum aren't so much confusing as they are long.
Especially if, like me, you're too cheap to use items and trek all the
way back to the nearest healing machine and/or PC between battles.

Low fifties? Check. Ice Beams? Erm... If I can't buy it, I'll
probably just stick with Blizzard.

Cheap? Considering the price of things in Orre and if you fail
to snag a shadow pokemon, it's the only way to go to make sure
you get them all. I prefer to save the potions and such for the
heavy battles anyway. I've always been a hoarder in that regard.

Is it just me, or is battling everyone you bump into, in Colosseum,
annoying after awhile?

It's either that or having a series of random battles. Some would find
that even more annoying. At least this way you have more control over
when you fight, even if the majority of them are unavoidable if you want
to proceed.
