Hello, I am trying to get an older pc game to work on my DOSBox virtual machine. I have Windows 95 running fine in my pc (win10), but I cannot figure out how to make the program accessible to the Emulated PC.
More details: I am running the virtual machine off a USB drive for portability reasons.
my command string to start the virtual machine from DOSBox is
"mount h h:\95
h:
imgmount A w95.img
boot w95.img"
In the 95 OS it says an A drive (removable) is connected, but if I click it it says the device is not ready yet. I have waited several minutes but it has yet to open. Attempting to enter the network neighborhood results in a "Network is inaccessible" message. I have tried to use the Run command and enter the shared file location of the program I want to install but it says "network is not present or has not started."
The program I am trying to install is an old game that cannot even install on Windows 10. I have it on a disc. I copied the installer.exe onto the USB drive and set the 95 OS Run command to look there (made the drive "shared")
