Run audio simultaneously through optical and analog outputs for headphones with modmic?

Running high impedance headphones through optical out on motherboard to DAC to amplifier. Wondering if it's possible to run a modmic through mic output on either the motherboard rear mic output or front panel output. Supposedly Asus Realtek HD Audio Manager will allow two audio streams simultaneously but I haven't been able to make it work when testing two analog outputs. Is there another program you all can recommend that will allow digital and analog output simultaneously?
