RUNDLL32.EXE does not work.

I just installed a fresh copy of Windows 7 on my new SSD. I've been getting my OS to its previous state like it was on the Windows 7 I had on my HDD. I have encountered a prolem with the Sounds and Sceen Saver tools in Control Panel > Appearance and Personalization > Personalization. The errors differ very slightly as shown in the screenshots below.

The only difference between the errors is there is one dash between system32 and rundll32.exe for sounds and two dashes between system32 and rundll32.exe for Screen Saver.

Follow the steps below:

1. Go to the Start Menu and click Run.

2. Typemsconfig and press Enter. It will open the Windows System Configuration Utility dialog menu.
3. In this dialog box, choose Selective Startup and uncheck every option except one and restart your computer.
4. If you still receive the error message, repeat step 3 until you identify the exact startup option that is causing the error.
