I got 2 of these for a friend, was wondering if the GTX 1060 3gb or the GTX 970 4gb would be better to power these up. They will be stretched sometimes along those 2 monitors, or running individual displays at a time. I'm leaning more towards the GTX 970, but I'll fill you up in the specs:

CPU: Intel i5-6600k
CPU Cooler: Corsair Hydro Series H100i V2 Extreme Performance
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-Z170X-UD3 LGA 1151 ATX Intel Motherboard
PSU: Corsair CX650M 650 Watt ATX Modular Power Supply
Case: NZXT S340 ATX Mid Tower Case w/ Side Window - Black/Red
GPU: ASUS GeForce GTX 970 Overclocked 4GB GDDR5 OR GTX 1060 3GB
HDD: WD Blue 1TB Desktop Hard Disk Drive - 7200 RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache 3.5 Inch - WD10EZEX
RAM: Crucial Ballistix Sport LT 8GB 2 x 4GB DDR4-2400
Monitors: Dell SE2417HGR 24" 1080p LED Gaming Monitor x 2

And welp. I think i need to go for the GTX 1060 because the monitors only have VGA and HDMI, and the GTX 970 only has 1 HDMI and 2 DVI ports. RIP!

But still, what would perform better in games at that stretched resolution. And would it look good? Thanks!

EDIT: I can actually get 2 of these, it has DVI, HDMI, and VGA, maybe that's a better choice? I personally own on these, I got it on Sunday, and it's an amazing monitor.

Solution
GTX 970 and GTX 1060 are rather close in performance.
You can use any of those with 2 monitors.

In case you need 2 HDMI outputs, you can use DVI->HDMI adapter.
But 27" Acer monitor is a better choice.

Can i not use 1 HDMI and 1 DVI to show one image? Just wondering.
