running 4x512 MB of ram at 4 4 4

If one has 2x512MB DDR2 4-4-4 and buys 2 more cards of the same brand of ram (2x512MB DDR2 4-4-4)
Can 4x512 MB DDR2 run at 4-4-4 on every motherboard or are there some issues involved (the load for example) and have to be run on looser timings?
