[SOLVED] Running a SSD 24/7

Solution
You are not likely to have any issues.
The lifespan depends on how many writes are done to the ssd and how many nand chips it has.
Larger devices will last longer.
The Samsung PRO versions are more expensive but have longer endurance.

Today, endurance is really not an issue.
You would have to be in a server environment rewriting the entire ssd several times per day to have any issue.
The drive will likely be obsolete long before you run out of writes.

I'm not sure, exactly. I found a couple different forums saying that I 'should' set the "Written Data" to go to a HD. I suppose I need to read more on this.

You need to determine how much data you're talking about.
It might be a lot, it might be a little.

Any particular reason for hosting this game server on the SDD?

I will for sure look into it. Your questions alone show me how little I know what I'm dealing with. lol
It was a thought of time saving / convenience. I (practically) only play one game ever.

You're playing the game, or hosting a game server?
Just playing, it should be absolutely no problem.
