Is there a way to run a windows 98 game on Windows 7? I tried running the game on Win XP on virtual machine, it worked, but the graphics were messed up. I don't have a 98 disk. Thanks to anyone that can help me!

Solution
you can try running the application as an administrator , with compatability mode settings set to another version of windows eg windows 95/98 ,

> right click the application shortcut
> click properties
> compatability tab

You can also try expermenting with the setttings underneath the drop down to try to get the game to run with clean graphics , a lower screen res , and disablilg DPI scaling

I use this to get Theme hospital running on my windows 7 X64 pro Machine ,when im craving some retro fun hopefully you'll be able to improve your' playability for your older games.

Thank you for the super fast reply.

I cannot install the game at all on Windows 7.
Running Windows XP in VMWare, I install and boot the game fine, but the graphics have issues. I have tried doing compatibility mode, 256 Colors, and anything else. Still having the problem.

Here is a screenshot, maybe it will help identify my problem.

Hi everyone.

I found a bypass to play it. I moved the main game folder from VM running XP onto the desktop of Windows 7. From there I ran in compatibility mode, and it works great!

Thanks for all your help!
