Hi All,

I got a Gigabyte Aorus RTX 2080 Ti extreme vga and Samsung Q70R 55 TV which they say can run at 120hz refresh rate.

My question which port on my graphic card do i use to connect to my tv so i can run at 120hz refresh rate On my TV?

it has hdmi and whole bunch of ports back of the graphic card and some or one one is hdmi 2.0b or something i am so confused

i have 18g. Hdmi cable will that work? I am running 4k now but its still 60hz refresh

thank you so much

It cannot run at 4k @ 120fps! You need to use a program(search CRU) to create a custom resolution(2560x1440p) in order to allow that framerate. It's a bit wonky as 2560x1440 does not divide evenly into a 4k resolution. So you have to create a custom resolution that the games you are trying to play will support.

Edit: maybe that TV can support 4k @ 120fps but the HDMI 2.0 spec cannot. Unless that TV has a Displayport it's a no go
