Antec 520w HCG, is bronze certified PS I guess and it can handle but might flicker screen while heavy gaming and if you do video rendering. If it had been Gold certified and 550 then you would have very clean headroom to play. And please forget abt overclocking your video card and processor. Another thing is you might have 2-3 fan in your case or might add up more drives then I think Antec 520w HCG is not reliable.

Bronze is an efficiency rating has nothing to do with quality. There are some GOLD PSU's that I would not let near my house! Antec HCGm is a quality PSU made by Seasonic here is a review of its wired sibling http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/antec-high-current-gamer-520-w-power-supply-review/

Sorry to upsate you,
I didn't mean that Antec 520w HCG is not good and bad performer, what I mean was that might not be sufficient, now I got the word. It might be insufficient for the build.

80 Plus rating has nothing to do with how well it will power the equipment. 80+ Gold only means that it will draw less power from the wall in order to deliver the need power to the components.

Companies of poor power supplies often lie about their 80+ rating as well as the amount of power they can output. You can easily find power supplies that are rated to deliver 450w and will critically fail when attempting to use more than 300w.

Judging a PSU's build quality by its efficiency rating is about the same as judging the safety of its car by its gas mileage.

The HCG-520 can deliver 480W on the +12V rail, and a build with that configuration will have a maximum power draw of only around 350 watts, on all rails. 130W is enough headroom for overclocking.

People do tend to get excessively high-capacity power supplies due to efficiency reasons, or based on certain yardsticks - but saying a 520W power supply is insufficient won't be correct.

Another misconception that people have is that if a 500W power supply has 85% efficiency, it can only deliver 425W of power. That is not correct. If the rating is correct, said PSU can deliver 500W, but will draw 588W from the wall. Similarly, a 80% efficient power supply will draw 625W from the wall.

Antec HCG520M exceeds the recommendations for a system with a single GTX970 which is 500watts http://www.realhardtechx.com/index_archivos/Page362.htm Those recommendations are based on generic PSU's not quality units and system load will not even reach 400watts normally.

Bit of an update, after using it for 12 hours the next morning my PSU blew up, lol. Got a new one, using a Corsair RM750X now, working fine, been using it for a few weeks no issues.
