I have one Radeon 4870 and two 1920x1200 LCD's. I'd like to run BF3 on dual monitors. I've seen you-tube videos of it running on dual monitors but I can't find a how-to. Do I need a 2nd 4870 (or a higher spec card) running in Crossfire to be able to run Battlefield 3 at 3840x1200?

The BF3 settings currently only enable me to switch between monitor 1 and monitor 2; there's no setting for "both/2 monitors". Or do I have to set up some type of profile in the Catalyst Control Center?

Thanks,

Lew

Thanks. Do you run BF3 on 2 monitors with your single 570?

No, for 2 reasons.

1. Dual monitors is kind of pointless because the bezel falls in the middle of the display, which is generally the most important part of the image especially in an FPS game.

2. Secondly, 1 gtx 570 isn't enough to run the game on dual 1920x1200 monitors with ultra settings/no MSAA and maintain 60 fps steadily on all maps.

Good points. I've never done any dual monitor gaming to this point and I'm basically a FPS-only player, so just coming to grips with this now. I'm putting a 2500K machine together this weekend with the ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3. Are you happy with your Asrock P67 Extreme 4 Gen.3 so far?

+1

Absolutely. Has given me 0 problems.
