Is it possible to run the integrated graphics of an i5 4690k cpu + a dedicated graphics card like AMD 290 or Nvidia 780 at the same time? I plan on using the dedicated AMD or Nvidia gpu on my primary 27" monitor for gaming. I want to run a second 24" monitor using the integrated graphics just for surfing the net or watching videos while I game. I know I could do dual monitors with just the dedicated gpu, but figured if I could use the integrated graphics to power the other monitor, it would mean less work for the dedicated gpu. Thanks!

I have the same exact CPU except i went for the i5-4690 because in my opinion it is 100% pointless unless you do tons of video rendering or Graphical design considering how much epicness the i5-4690 already has. Im pretty sure you can plug up your second monitor to your motherboards HDMI and it would use your integrated Graphics than you can plug your other monitor up to your GPU for gaming. If you have either of those GPU`s you mentioned above you could use 4 monitors without even breaking a sweat. Using iGPU on a scree while having an R9 290 or GTX 780 would belike buying a Ferrari and taking the engine out and putting a 25CC lawn mower engine in it. :p
