running linux mint completely off usb stick Lifespan of drive concerns?

i just did a full install of mint to a 8gb sandisk cruzer glide usb drive and i am wondering how along this will last for works perfect so far after 3 days

Until the flash memory on the drive wears out and can no longer be read or written to.
