Running more RAM than motherboard is set for opn Mac g4 ppc mdd

im curious what would happen if i upped the ram from 2.0g to 2.5 g on my powermac g4 mdd. apparently the motherboard can only go to 2.0g and i was wondering if it would hurt it going up the extra .5 or help, or do nothing at all.

You would likely see no difference whatsoever, good or bad.
