Running multiple different gpus?

Hey guys, so I have a question.

Is it possible to run 2 different video cards from the same manufacturer?

What I mean is, could I put a Nvidia 750 ti in my PC and then use a Nvidia 960 as the main GPU?

My motherboard is a Gigabyte 990fxa-ud3

You could use the 750ti for a deducated phsix card but their would be very little performance differance. I would just sell it.
