Running Multiple GPUs on 600W PSU

So i have done some research on this, and it seems that depending on where i look, i either can or cannot handle running what i want to on a 600W PSU (which i might just want to replace anyways because according to what ive read, its a terrible PSU even though i have never had a problem with it). I want to use my old GTX 770 in mixed multi GPU mode with my GTX 1070 for DX12 games, but im not sure my PSU can handle that.

My current set up is as follows:
I7 4790k no OC (88W TDP)
Corsair H60 CPU liquid cooler
16gb (2x8) 1866mhz DDR3 RAM
Asus Z97-P MoBo
ASUS GTX 1070 Turbo (150W TDP)
Toshiba 1tb 7200RPM HDD
ADATA 128gb SSD
XTREME GEAR XG-H600 600W PSU

The part i want to add:
EVGA Superclocked GTX 770

this is literally the best info i could find on this PSU:

XTREME GEAR XG-H600
• OEM: HAPPY MULTI-WEALTH TECHNOLOGIES
• maximum combined +12 Volt continuous current rating of 41.8 Amps
• 80 PLUS BRONZE Efficiency Certification

So right now, the PSU handles my computers requirements just fine, but im concerned that if i throw in that GTX 770 (230W TDP) that my PSU will not be able to handle this and something will go horrifically wrong. It never had trouble when i had the 770 in there before, and i checked that it has the power connectors to handle the aditional GPU, but im unsure of the wattage. If anyone can weigh in on whether this setup will work let me know, and if you think its that bad, suggest a better PSU for me, preferably with a higher wattage. Thanks for any help you can give.

Hi MarcusD :) Your quite correct a 600W PSU is insufficient for what you wish to do.

The GTX 770 extra power draw if both cards are used will fail as you do not have sufficient Wattage.

I can't understand why you would want to do this as you cannot combine the two for SLI and you would only be able to use the extra card for Phys X.
Your existing PSU is as you say is not well rated so if you still want to go this way then an 850W min Gold rated PSU by EVGA, Seasonic, Corsair or Antec would provide quality and efficiency.
Another factor to consider is, if you intend to OC and account for any further expansion as then I would recommend 1000W.

They can be put into "sli" using mixed multi GPU, a function of DX 12. So it seems that a new PSU is in order, do you have any models in particular in mind? I know how important the PSU is, but I don't need some diamond encrusted gold plated master piece for $$$$$, I just need something that will work well and will keep my computer safe.

Yes, it's a function of DX12, but it's a passive feature that has to be coded into the software to have any actual value. And it remains to be seen how well it will really work when you mix two GPUs with drastically different performance - I'd be surprised if in this particular situation, it's even worth the bother.

Least expensive PSU right now I'd run with multiple GPUs (the 770 is at 230W itself).

Well, i decided to just go for a high quality PSU, specifically the EVGA SuperNOVA G2 750W, any objections to that PSU? overkill, overpriced, better alternatives etc?

Yeah, after reading some more reviews on it, it definitely seems like the one I'm going with.
