Hello I am having issues playing ARK survival on my computer. I checked my task manager and I somehow only have about 4-5 gb of ram available which should still be sufficient enough. When I almost get to the game fully loading the screen shuts off and I get a "fatal error has occurred, not enough memory" message. Here is my build, I am also playing with everything on low settings.

I realize I need to upgrade my psu and gpu but those are not going to be cheap so I have to save up.

That could be it. I've tried playing the single player and that worked fine for me. Maybe the multiplayer is just really memory intensive. I guess I need to upgrade the gpu soon lol.

Multiplayer maps do get very intensive, all those buildings and dinosaurs start taking up memory. Ark is still an early access game so poor performance and optimization is to be expected.

I fixed this issue on mine by adding pagefile. I upgraded to windows 10 and pagefile was disabled.
I put the pagefile initial to 4gb and max to 8gb.
This has allowed me to run the game without further issues. Also I lowered video settings and then slowly increased them to find happy compromise.

there are plenty of guides to change pagefile. its pretty simple but i wont tell you here as its best you google it and learn its basics. (i have a vague understanding of it.

Really, these days, there is no reason to not leave the Page File at anything other then "System Managed", barring an odd case where you have a program that thrashes RAM (>16 GB). This is doubly true now that we're moving to 64-bit .exe's, and titles can suddenly use more then 4GB at a time.
