Forgive me if this is an epically n00b question,

but I read online that netbooks have been being used by techs for doing diagnostics on other computers because of their portability.

Anyone know anything about this

Solution
You can use it to test drives in external enclosures, run telnet sessions, network testing. You can't actually do any hardware diagnostics on another computer, you need a boot disk for that.

Gotcha, that's what I thought. Just thought I'd check anyways. Thanks!
