Running PC without side panel?

I have a tiny case and the CPU cooler just touches the side panel so it gets loud and i've noticed my temps are lower with it off.

Are there any long term side effects other than it getting dusty?

no, usually its recommended to have it on because it creates cooler temperatures. If you get cooler temps without it, don't use it.

No. Make sure you protect it from water spills and don't let anything go in it. It is a little vulnerable.

It will be fine and a lot of people use their computers with the side panel off.
Just make sure no cats/dogs stick their noses into the case😀
You can buy cans of compressed air to blow the dust out of the computer if it gets dusty
