Running PC without side panel?

I Recently bought a graphics card, but it's too big for my computer (Next time i'll do better measurements)

It has three inputs (VGA, DCI and HDMI) But the third input prevents me from putting the panel back on. I Was about to go through the return process, until I considered using it without the panel.

I Can only seem to find questions about if it helps with overheating, but overheating is not an issue. I Simply want to use the graphics card.

Long story short I want to know if I can use my computer without a side panel indefinitely, any risks this might cause, any precautions I should take, etc.

Thank you for your time.

a GPU that is too tall for the case? ive never heard of that, You can run it with no side panel and be ok but i wouldn't recommend it if you have children and make sure it sits on a desk off of the floor. You could also make a cut-out in the side panel of your case for it.

Also check it for dust anc lean every so often becuase that is a problem whn you don't have a side panel.

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I Have no young children or pets with me, and I keep the computer on it's side on my desk. Overheating has not been an issue, and I can keep some canned air with me to dust it.

And I have considered cutting out part of the panel, I suppose I could look into that as a permanent solution and go panel-less for a bit.

I Will make sure to use some common sense and never, ever touch the inside of it, turn it off whenever I leave the house/go to sleep, etc.

Thank you so much everyone for your help, it's been a bit of a headache!

Oh, and for the record I have a small form factor, so if you were wondering why the card doesn't fit, that's why :)
