Question Running surface test on hard drive - - stuck on 60%?

i have a 750 gig hard drive and it has been making some bad sound when using it, i think is has physical damages..so I decided to run surface test using easeus partition master and it started running slow when it got to 50% then it totally got stuck at 60%..now i would like to know if this means that half of my drive is usable and if so,would a 50% partition work and leave the other partition as unusable....i wanna know how i can find the 50 percent that is usable and use it

Very bad idea. If a portion of the drive is unusable through wear-an-tear then it should be replaced before it fails completely.
