In my opinion, any topic or part of a story that is published by Tom’s should be fair game to discuss in the forums. Kind of hypocritical that Tom’s position is: we can talk about it, but you the reader cannot.

Simple. Editorial doesn't give a single whit what the forum rules are and post whatever garners clicks. We have no control over them. However, that does NOT allow you or anyone else to go political here. These threads are monitored closely and swift action is taken when warranted.

Your opinion is irrelevant. The site rules prohibit politics in the threads and that's that. There are plenty of other sites on the net that you can visit and be as political as you wish.

Bypassing or getting around sanctions is breaking the law. TH should not write about specific laws being broken because some readers find the laws in question "political"?
