I have a GTX 1080 TI and an R7 2700X with anb evga 650w gold certified psu. Any game i play will crash after about 10 min of gameplay when overclocked. I'm super confused and don't know what to do. I've tried a million overclocking solutions and looked at guides. The 1080 TI is new as is the 2700X. All drivers are updated and all were wiped prior to the switch. motherboard bios was flashed, as was the gpu's even. i was running an i5 6600k and GTX 1060. I'm really confused and need help. it can't be as simple as needing more power. Any help is appreciated. thanks again.

They're super normal. GPU topped off at 76 and the cpu says 86, but with ryzen's 10 degree offset, it's actually 76. Temps have always been fine.

i don't think you hit the link. Those are core clocks. They've always been accurate to my oc but they spiked for some reason. I'm aware of how the memory clock works. Might be a software glitch or a huge problem.

After dropping it to 3.7ghz and it still crashes. no overclock everything stock. I'm really worried i've got a bad gpu. could games crash from taking too much power from the psu? also when it crashes, the audio continues, but the video freezes and i have to alt f4, which sometimes that doesn't even work. i did a heaven benchmark and it scored a 4700 on 1080p ultra, which is outlandishly high for the card. this is weird. after a crash at 3.8ghz, this is some hwmonitor data:

Yes. The ssd was formatted and windows was reinstalled after the cpu upgrade. Between the cpu upgrade and the cpu upgrade, no games crashed. After the 1080 TI, things went south. Could it be an issue with how low the wattage of my PSU is?

EDIT: figured out that it is the cpu being overclocked causing my crashing. changing the title of this post and investigating further.
