If you had to choose between RX 460 4GB vs. HD 7870 X2 Crossfire, what would it be? PSUs and power consumption not withstanding, which would be better for gaming? And 2010 games vs. 2015 games vs. 2020 games.

Does it even matter that the RX 460 4GB does not have a 6 or 8 pin power plug? That bothers me.

Even Baldur's Gate III coming out this summer.

And I am using the cards in two systems, one based on a i7-2600K and the other a i5-3570K.

Thanks

Crossfire is pointless in this day and age. I've seen many people come around asking us not to pay attention to the make model/quality or even the age of the PSU. With building computers, pretty much every bit of detail aids in giving you a robust and worthwhile advice.

That being said you should stick to the single most powerful GPU your wallet and your platform will allow.

You might want to mention the make and model of the RX460 or a link to it.
