To be honest i've already ordered the rx 470, before this 1060 3gb version came out.
I'm a team red fan but not biased, just looking for honest opinions.
Monitor is 1080p 60hz(may change to a freesync in the next year).

The nitro+ version comes with a 8-pin connector, and is factory overclocked and from what i've seen gives pretty good results. I like the design, and the price compared to what we've been having here.

Now i get the rx 470 nitro+ 4gb version for 30euros less than the zotac mini 3gb version.
Atm im just playing Overwatch and some League of Legends, but i want headroom for the games that come in the future.

I don't mind toning a few settings down to keep the gameplay smooth and i won't be buying a rx 480 or a gtx 1060 6gb version because they are out of my price range.

Will i regret that i cheer for the red side?

Imo it's no where near worth the time, effort, and cost to return the 470. And fwiw the mini doesn't allow much, if any, cooling headroom for o/cing with fan noise going up. The extra 25% of memory may become more important as games continue to get more and more ram hungry. The Sapphire Nitro, imo and many others, is the best choice in 470s...love mine. Solid, quiet and when unlocked and clocked can go toe to toe with a ref specd 480 for the most part.
Well to be honest the price difference is not that much. The 1060 will definitely out perform a rx 470 by a decent frame rate. It's probably not noticeable on overwatch and league of legends but I would return the rx 470 and get a 1060 which would be a better option.

I would leave the worrying about GPU performance to people who insist on running everything at very high or Ultra details. People who do not mind toning down some settings to get higher performance can usually get away with far less powerful GPUs.

Unless you got a good deal on that RX470, what you may end up regretting the most is not waiting a month or two for prices to settle closer to their respective MSRPs.

To be honest i'm paying 220 euros for the 470.
Prices here were always bigger than prices in America.
Giving that the nitro+ on newegg costs 210 atm, i only paid 10e more than i would have paid if i were there.
On the other hand i love the design on the card, i've help a friend build a pc with this card( he bought it around same time that i ordered it and i could see it over skype video).
In a few months my college starts so i have more time for gaming now than i will have then, won't mind a 10-20 euro loss for prices balancing.

30 euro price difference for which i can also get a rx 480 4gb nitro+ model.
And i didn't get it because i overreached from a 200 euro budget for R9 380x to buy this card now.

When you look at the memory advantage, it's 33%. Because you take the % from the card with less memory for a comparison.
The mini has only 1 fan and from what i've seen(from pictures only) not a very good thermal design.
No way in hell am i canceling my order and ordering that, especially because i like to mess around with overclocking.
I started a thread to see some opinions, glad to see someone else happy with the same card though.

Yes i am on a 1080p, i thought i wrote that if i didn't im sorry 😀
EDIT: May also go for a freesync budget monitor next year.

I wouldn't worry about it much since the RX480 and more powerful GPUs usually become unplayable long before memory load passes the 4GB mark in most games. If your games end up genuinely needing more than 4GB, you will want something more powerful than an RX480 or GTX1060 anyway.
