I would like to buy this graphics card:
Gigabyte AMD Radeon RX 480 8GB, GV-RX480G1-8GD
But I am not sure if my 500W power supply can support it on 100% load.
I am not planing to overclock manually.
I know Gigabyte offers gaming and oc mod, so I may use that.
Should I buy RX 480 or something more power efficient like GTX 1060(GV-N1060WF2OC-6GD)?

My PC specs:
i5 4460
MSI H81M-P33
1x8GB DDR3 RAM
1TB HDD
Cooler Master B500 ver. 2
DVD RW

Thanks in advance!

According to this review, which I admit isn't the best, the B500 wouldn't be a PSU I'd use.

The Cooler Master B500 ended up at 11.09 V, far below the 11.4 V limit. In the 400W it already fell short at 11.36V. That means that 300W is the highest capacity that remains within the margins for the B500

It's really a 300W PSU that falls out of spec if you push it higher. No matter what you do I'd replace the unit before getting a card.

DO NOT BUY THE GIGABYTE RX 480! It has severe heating issues and its power draw is higher than the others.

Any proof? You used capital letters so I...
DO NOT BUY THE GIGABYTE RX 480! It has severe heating issues and its power draw is higher than the others. If you want an RX 480, get it from anybody except for Gigabyte and Powercolor. Your 500W PSU can handle any 2016 GPU.

Any proof? You used capital letters so I assume it heats up so bad it's an issue? You even said "severe". I know that historically Gigabyte locks their GPUs at the highest end of what the chip can handle so yes, I would expect it to be hotter and use more power than other similar GPUs. But I've never seen it be such a SEVERE problem. Look at this link.

Guru3d measured an extra 3W compared to the stock RX480. This is not SEVERE in my book.
