RX 480 is running hot

My idle temp is 60C. Online reviews are saying it idles at 30C.

People in northern climates live in a freezer so naturally they get better temps, just up the fan speed a little if the load temps get into the 80s. If you are in a northern freezer climate and doing 60c idle you need to check things like air flow in the case ect.

The real problem with these cards is the vrm temps as that will be the real killer down the road.

Fan speed is in the low 700s at idle. Around 720-730.

Bumps that up and go from there, I am one of those people that prefers manual control to manage the temps better.

Got is going at around 50 right now. What should I try and get it down to?

Good just remember that you can set the speed to control the temps especially during the summer months 😉
