Hi guys, i created this post to find a fix. The problem is that my PC shuts down when I play Paragon or Dead by Daylight ( This last in loading screen ) After the shuts down, I have to disconnect the power supply and reconnect it before to turn on the computer. Other problems i see are that FPS drops in a lot of games, for example, paragon in high settings works at 60 fps, but fps drops to 10-20. Others game as Mafia 3 (fps drops to 20) or Assasins Creed 3 (unplayable, stables 20 fps in Boston map).

I can fix the shuts down if i go to windows energy options and set the maximun processor state at 99%.

Temps i think that are ok.

My specs are:

MOBO: MSI 970A Gaming Pro Carbon
RAMS: 8 GB HYPERX 1600 MHz
GRAPHIC CARD: Shappire RX 480 4 GB NITRO Plus
CPU: FX 8350 4.00 GHz with HYPER 212X
PSU: 700W aqprox Gaming (app700PS)
HDDS: Seagate Desktop 7200 2 TB
OS: Win10 Pro 64 bits

Sorry for my bad English, I hope someone can help me.

The temps isn't the problem. I see CPU at 43 ºC and GPU at 65 ºC(Playing Paragon) and the pc shuts down. As I said the reboot problem is solved by setting the maximum processor state to 99% in the power options, but I do not understand why. 🙁

How old is your PSU?

I bought it less than 3 months ago, although it is not a well-known brand, I previously had a 600W NOX Uranus with which the pc shuts down when running any game.

Im having the same issue even with a corsair ax 1200i psu. I have the asus strix version my pc will randomly shut down and i have to plug the psu cable that gos inro the 8 pin into a different plug on the psu. I have not found a fix but I know this wasnt happening until I got the rx 480.

I can fix the shuts downs after replacing my PSU for another 700 W PSU. My PC shuts downs when I use 100% CPU and GPU, so you have a different problem.

The FPS issues are resolved when I replace my PSU and set the CPU to 4.2GHz constant.
