I just got a Asus RX 480 8GB graphics card and it kept crashing my system in higher spec games withhin usually 5-20 mins of playing. Now as advised I reduced the power limit to -20 and slightly brought down the frequency -5. Ive only played 1hr on it if that and theres been no crashes, why is this?

Why would it stop the crashes, just want to know so know what the issue with my system is?
I understand its not running as fast and using as much power but surely my system can handle the card at its normal speed/power consummation?

Intel Core i7 2600k @ 4.5GHz
16GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM
Asus RX 480 8GB
Corsair 850W PSU
1TB SSD
2 x 22" 1080p Monitor

I monitor the temps and generally the GPU is at 60-64 in game and the CPU 50 so dont think its that.

Corsair TX850W - surely that should be more than enough for this system though?

Ok thanks i remember this was at 2000 but ive sent it back now so cant test. Will be replacing it with a different brand like Gigabyte as it should work out the box and not have issues like i have had.
