[SOLVED] RX 5500XT and PCI-E x16 3.0

I am planning to change my gpu from a GTX 1050Ti to a AMD RX 5500XT and was wondering, because the latter supports PCI-E x16 4.0, will i have to change my motherboard to one that has PCI-E 4.0 slots, or will it be running okay or with subtle performance differences?
For reference my motherboard is a ASUS PRIME B250M-K

PCIe is backwards compatible....so no....you don't have to change your motherboard.
